Shuttle Driver

Cloverland Farms Dairy is located in Baltimore City, Maryland, where we provide over 300 jobs for local residents. Our products can be found in hospitals, private and public schools, institutions, convenience stores and supermarkets throughout the Mid Atlantic area. Restaurants, airports, and hotels know that our products are wholesome and delicious – and their clientele agree!

Cloverland is seeking a Shuttle Driver / Yard Jockey. You should be able to prepare trailers and yard vehicles for processing and dispatching shipments.

Work Schedule:

• 11:00pm - 7:30am, Sunday - Thursday 
• 6:00pm - 2:30am, Sunday - Thursday
• 4:30pm - 1:00pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & 4:45pm - 1:15am Saturday (off days - Sunday & Tuesday)

Pay Rate: $24.44/hour plus $0.50/hour differential

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work under close supervision in a team setting in a fast-paced production environment.
• Inspects trucks and trailers for defects before and after trips and submits reports daily indicating truck/trailer conditions. 
• Maintains drivers log according to DOT regulations when required.
• Is responsible for safe and timely performance of his/her duties.
• Delivers trailers to customers on a continuous basis using the drop and hook method.
• Deliver finished dairy products directly to customer locations.
• Works in a safety sensitive position and is required to follow all safety rules and procedures including but not limited to foot and ear protection and report all hazardous conditions.
• Maintains proper housekeeping of work area.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Must comply with all safety rules and regulations set by DOT and company policies.
• Must comply with Good Manufacturing Processes under FDA standards. Follow controlled SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Required to work mandatory overtime when needed.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Must have a valid CDL A and current DOT medical certification card.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be capable of backing tractor and trailers to loading docks numerous times during shift
• Must be able to lift and carry product weighing 50 lbs.
• Must be 21 years of age.
