Cloverland Farms Dairy is seeking a Cooler Supervisor. Under the direct supervision of the Cooler Manager, the Supervisor will handle the management and scheduling of the employees for the department. Plans work schedules for efficient utilization of labor force and to reduce overtime costs. Trains and manages all employees in the department. Responsible for maintaining discipline and high morale in his/her department. May perform other duties as directed by management. Must be able to handle daily operations of a multi shift and multi customer warehouse, including inventory control, shipping and receiving and cross dock operations. The successful applicant will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations lead the warehouse team and provide flawless customer service to our clients.

Work Schedule:

Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors load out to prevent errors; wrong codes, shortages, etc.
• Manages receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory accuracy by conducting physical counts.
• Maintains physical conditions of warehouse by making certain all areas are clean. Responsible for department housekeeping and product code rotation.
• Responsible for the organization of all activities in his/her department, as well as communications with other departments.
• Responsible for maintaining discipline and high morale in his/her department.
• Responsible for following the safety program in the department.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees to tasks; following up on work results.
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
• Compliance with all OSHA , SQF, GMP’s and FDA regulations as it applies to warehouse operations and the handling and storage of food products.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a production/warehouse environment.
• Dairy, beverage, packaging, or process industry background is preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Office systems.
• Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
• Familiarization with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
