The Blow Mold Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of duties to include primarily troubleshoot and maintain blow mold machines, bottle conveyors, bagging/debagging equipment and perform other general maintenance and repair duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on blow mold machines, bottle trimmers, baggers, debaggers, and conveying machinery. Maintain electrical control and power circuitry motors. Monitor the performance of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and grease/oil equipment as needed. Assist and/or install new equipment. Assist outside service techs on maintenance to plant facilities. Manage the inventory and request for purchase of supplies and parts. Perform preventive maintenance and maintain records on all equipment. Maintain tools and workplace so the conditions are neat and orderly. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1+ years' experience in troubleshooting and repairing control systems - mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic. Experience in Plastic Blow Molding or general manufacturing plastic products is preferred. Able to perform light administrative duties. Ability to use hand tools and small power tools. Must be capable of reading, understanding instructions, and have knowledge of basic math skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day. Wet and slippery floor conditions. Must be able to stand and walk during the entire shift. Constant bending, lifting, reaching, pulling, and climbing ladders during an eight (8) or ten (10) hour shift. Able to distinguish color, perform intricate tasks, read small print, and see at normal distances. In this position, you will operate a tractor-trailer and make deliveries of finished product to customers.
