CDL A or B Delivery Driver - Salisbury MD

Cloverland Dairy in Salisbury Maryland is looking for a Class A or B CDL driver to deliver finished product to our customers, in a safe and timely manner. We are willing to work with newly acquired CDL holders, to help kick start their career in high gear! Responsibilities

• Daily Pre/Post trips on all vehicles assigned.
• Picks up truck/tractor trailer at start of shift and verifies load.
• Deliver products in a safe and timely manner to each customer assigned while maintaining and following all DOT rules and regulations.
• Picks up and returns all empty cases/pallets that were left from previous delivery from each customer.
• Must be able to lift, pull, and drag a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to use hand truck and/or power jack.
• Must provide good service and good customer relations.
• Must report all accidents, damages, complaints, or issues that may occur and is accountable for filling out all necessary reports.
• Must be able to use a hand-held device for making deliveries, must be able to make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate deliveries and accurate billing for our customers.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customers
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Must have a Class A or B CDL and pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must have a clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

• Must be capable of getting into and out of tractor or straight trucks numerous times over shift to secure load bars or straps
